| Network Engineer I,II,III Responsible for monitoring bandwidth utilization, network design and planning. Must have an in depth understanding of Switched Networks, TCP/IP, Firewall design and telephony protocols. Must be able to configure Cisco switches, routers and firewalls; must have working knowledge of IP security and wireless security. Must have strong analytical ability, including excellent troubleshooting skills and hardware installs. Operate a company*s internal data communications systems, including LANs and/or WANs. Plans, designs, implements networked systems and coordinates with vendors to install routers, bridges, and switches. Responsibilities: LIST OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: The following represents the majority of the duties performed by the position, but is not meant to be all inclusive nor prevent other duties from being assigned when necessary. Will be a point of escalation for Network Engineer on troubleshooting issues for network equipment and related resources. Gathers network information for trending, works with Network Engineer and Project Managers in testing equipment for production deployment Must be able to research, design, plan and implement architectures with fault tolerance, performance tuning, monitoring systems, statistics/metrics collection and disaster recovery Must be able to manage changing priorities and workloads Provide support to both internal and external customers on an as needed basis Provide support for after-hours support operations and system maintenance that may occur * Qualifications: EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION Level I Recommends minimum of four years progressive IT experience in a mid- to large-sized environment. Possess excellent knowledge of basic system protocols and methodologies. Possess excellent communication skills, and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently. Must work well under pressure and handle multiple projects at once. Organizational skills needed. Recommends Bachelor*s degree in Technical or Business related field or equivalent experience. Requires Cisco Certified Network Associate certification. Level II Recommends a minimum of five years progressive IT experience in a mid- to large- sized environment. Excellent knowledge of routing and telephony protocols. Excellent communication skills, and people skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
