| Seeking a Professional, Experienced Network Engineer/Administrator to provide hands-on, mid to advanced-level network technology support services for small to mid-sized clients.* The Engineer is required to have mastered the intricacies of Windows 2003/2008/2012 server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, Firewalls and Exchange 2003/2007/2010.* * PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE AND EXPERIENCE SHOULD INCLUDE Installation, configuration and support of Microsoft Windows servers (2003/2008/2012) and workstations (XP, Vista, Win 7, Win8), routers, firewalls, and other equipment for customers - as well as solid experience working in a business professional environment providing face-to-face technical support on service requests or projects and consultation regarding best practices in technology management.* * This position requires a high level of independence and strong client service skills. Organizational ability is important to keep track of all tasks, because the job requires a great deal of multi-tasking. You are likely to perform work for many different clients in any given week, and it can be challenging to balance your time. We also require accurate and timely tracking of client work, service calls, and related documentation including timesheets. * The Network Engineer will provide experienced, comprehensive and advanced technical support of service requests. This is to include telephone, remote and onsite support using state-of-the art managed services tools. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills; able to own issues and drive them to resolution. Candidate must be able to work in both a team environment and independently, work in pressure situations and be the mediator between the vendor and customer. This position does require you to be on call based on a rotating schedule with other engineers. * Required Minimum of five (5), preferably seven (7) years of IS / IT / Network Administration or related experience. Minimum of one (1), preferably three (3) years of professional consulting experience. Minimum of two (2) years of experience interacting face to face with clients in a business professional setting. Experience successfully managing a schedule and meeting deadlines while working remotely. Experience with backup solutions including appliance and cloud backup and virtualization technologies Strong experience removing computer viruses Understanding of mobile devices, SPAM-filtering, and VPN fundamentals Advanced experience: Microsoft Server 2003/2008/2012, Microsoft Exchange, Firewalls, Routers, PC hardware, computer networking.
