Tech Data Corp. is one of the largest distributors of computers, networking gear, printers and software to resellers and retailers. The company also provides tech support and logistical management services to its brand name clients, who include Cisco Systems Inc., Apple Inc., Adobe Systems Inc. and IBM Corp.

Headquartered in Clearwater, Fla., Tech Data distributes products to more than 125,000 resellers in 100 countries. In 2009, the company ranked 69th in BusinessWeek’s InfoTech 100. The rankings showcased companies that managed to thrive despite the global recession.

Culture

Tech Data encourages employee input. It has an anonymous email program, called Ask Bob, so workers can write directly to CEO Robert Dutkowsky with concerns and suggestions. The company also has quarterly employee meetings to discuss performance and strategies.
