The work environment is Silicon Valley casual. A substantial chunk of workers' pay comes via profit-sharing bonuses, which are paid out in January and July. In the past five years, Linear Tech's profit-sharing percentage has ranged from 29% to 68% of an employee's semi-annual base pay. An employee stock purchase plan is also available.
Longevity is rewarded. After five years of continuous employment, employees are eligible to take six weeks of sabbatical leave.
