Cloud Technology Partners will hire up to 60 new employees this year after raising $1 million in new financing last month.
Founded last year, the Boston-based company helps businesses transition their data centers and infrastructure into the cloud. The 18-person company also employs 20 consultants and associates from outside contractors.
The vast majority of its hiring will be for technologists, said Kamesh Pemmaraju, head of marketing at Cloud Technology. The company needs engineers with expertise in VMware's GemFire application and architects experienced in working with enterprises. Consulting experience is a plus as many of the firm's engineers work directly with clients.
CloudTP, as the company is known, counts some of the country's biggest firms as clients, and has found particular traction working with healthcare and financial services companies, Pemmaraju said.
The firm recruits both in the U.S. and abroad, said Pemmaraju. Job candidates can stand out by exhibiting a penchant for collaboration and acquiring new knowledge and skills.
"There's a lot of learning to do because it's so early in the cloud industry," said Pemmaraju.
Salaries will depend on experience, but every new hire will get some stock options. The company also pays annual cash bonuses based on its performance.
