Steve Jobs has died at the age of 56. The cause of death was not immediately revealed, but Jobs had struggled with pancreatic cancer and was the recipient of a liver transplant in 2009.
His death comes less than two months after resigning his position as CEO of Apple, the company he co-founded in 1976, was fired from in 1985, and then led through the 2000s to become the most valuable technology company in the world.
As of Wednesday night, Apple's website was emblazoned with Jobs' image, and the caption "Steve Jobs 1955-2011."
FINS recently spoke with John Sculley, the man Jobs considered responsible for his ouster from Apple, about the two's long silence.
