Rackspace Hosting, the San Antonio-based website hosting provider is hiring over 260 new staffers in sales and technical functions.
The company, which currently employs 3,200 "Rackers" globally, differentiates itself by not only providing hosting solutions, but "fanatical" customer support as well, according to Michael Long, global talent recruiter.
It is looking for Linux and Windows administrations, systems engineers and network security administrators. Experience in different operating systems, Python scripting and Java is preferred and depending on the position, security certifications are also required within six months of joining.
The company, which is ranked 92 on Fortune's list of the best companies to work for, has a friendly and supportive work culture, said Long.
"When my wife and I had a baby, our teams got together and organized meal delivery for two months, just to help us out," he said.
Training for technical certifications is available. The company also pays 100% of healthcare premiums for its employees.
But getting in can be hard. About 50% of new hires come through existing employee referrals, but only 1% of all applicants are hired.
Talk about loving the company you work for: Long recently got a tattoo of the company logo. "We certainly go above and beyond," he said.
